During our test, we had various drive variants to choose from. We were particularly impressed by the plug-in hybrid (T8)<\/strong>. With its impressive 455 hp<\/strong> and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km\/h in just 5.4 seconds<\/strong>, the T8 not only delivers pure performance, but also real suitability for everyday use. The purely electric range of up to 70 kilometres is easily sufficient for our daily journeys – be it the journey to work or small errands. On longer journeys, the combustion engine proved to be a reliable partner, guaranteeing the necessary range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we particularly liked was the balanced handling of the XC90. Despite its size, it literally glides over the road. The soft suspension ensures maximum driving comfort, and we felt relaxed even after long motorway journeys. A real highlight was the noise-reducing cabin<\/strong>, which ensures peace and quiet even at higher speeds. Although the XC90 is not a small SUV, it also cuts a fine figure in the city – the surprisingly small turning circle<\/strong> was a real plus point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design and space<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Visually, the Volvo XC90 impressed us from the very first glance. The clean lines, robust design and striking LED headlights give it a strong presence that is both modern and timeless. The Scandinavian style is continued in the interior: high-quality materials such as leather and real wood give the interior a luxurious, but by no means ostentatious ambience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were particularly impressed by the space on offer. With seven seats<\/strong>, the XC90 is perfect for larger families or spontaneous car pools. The seats are not only comfortable, but can also be flexibly folded down so that we had plenty of storage space <\/strong>for shopping, luggage or even bicycles<\/a> in no time at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety and technology<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to safety, Volvo remains the benchmark in the automotive industry. We felt completely safe throughout the journey, not least thanks to the numerous assistance systems. We were particularly impressed by the City Safety Emergency Brake Assist and the semi-autonomous Pilot Assist<\/strong>. The sensors around the vehicle worked reliably and gave us a reassuring feeling, especially in confusing situations or in city traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another highlight was the infotainment system<\/strong>, which is based on Google technology. The 11-inch touchscreen is not only a real eye-catcher, but also intuitive to operate. Whether it was navigation, music or controlling the charging management for the plug-in hybrid – everything worked smoothly and quickly. We found it particularly practical that we were able to seamlessly integrate our smartphone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After an intensive test phase, we can say with conviction: the Volvo XC90 is an all-round brilliant SUV that leaves nothing to be desired. It combines performance, comfort, technology and safety in a package that is ideal for both families and long-distance drivers. We were particularly impressed by the T8 plug-in hybrid – sustainable, powerful and yet suitable for everyday use<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
