The automotive mechatronics technician is responsible for testing alternative drive concepts and combustion engines as well as for diagnostic work on vehicle systems. They also carry out maintenance and repair work on vehicle systems in the areas of electrics and electronics, but also comfort and safety.
During your apprenticeship, you will gain the necessary knowledge to carry out repair work on automobiles.
Training
- 4 years apprenticeship
- 1 – 1.5 days of vocational school per week
- 68 days of inter-company courses during the apprenticeship
Action competence areas:
- Vehicle testing and maintenance
- Exchange of wear parts
- Support for operational processes
- Checking and repairing systems
- Diagnosis of mechatronic systems
In addition, there is the driving test, where the training company participates with a total of 15 lessons of practical driving instruction.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of a primary school (usually the upper school level)
- Passed AGVS aptitude test
